Admissions Requirements
Washington State requires students to demonstrate that they have the English proficiency necessary to benefit from their training.
Applicants must meet this requirement before completing enrollment and submitting payment.
English proficiency may be demonstrated through qualifying education or testing documentation. Applicants who do not have acceptable documentation must complete the Foundations Healthcare Institute English Proficiency Assessment.
Ways to Meet the English Proficiency Requirement
Applicants may meet the English proficiency requirement by providing one of the following:
• A high school diploma from a school where instruction was provided in English
• A GED completed in English
• A qualifying score from TOEFL, IELTS, or another recognized English proficiency examination
• An evaluation of foreign coursework from a recognized credential-evaluation service
• A passing score on the Foundations Healthcare Institute English Proficiency Assessment
If You Need Another Option
If you are unable to complete or pass the online assessment, contact Foundations Healthcare Institute before completing enrollment. Other options may include an alternative assessment process, additional assistance, or a qualified interpreter when permitted and available.
Interpreter services are not guaranteed and may depend on the course, testing requirements, and interpreter availability.
